GAVEN CONTEMPORARY DANCE CLASSES
Contemporary dance is an extension to the classical technique. Students learn about technique, dynamics and expression through alignment, gravity, contraction, release and suspension. GAVEN JAZZ DANCE CLASSES
Students love learning jazz at HDA! It’s fast, upbeat and fun – and a great workout. In jazz classes, we experiment with different music, dynamic routines and have a lot of fun. IT’S SHOWTIME AT HINTERLAND DANCE ACADEMY
Join us for the highlight of the year and see what HDA students can do! December is showtime at Hinterland Dance Academy. Each year we put on a large production at The Arts Centre Gold Coast to showcase the students’ achievements. Each class learns a routine and everyone gets involved. GAVEN BALLET LESSONS
Hinterland Dance Academy Gaven ballet lessons teach the world-renowned Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) syllabus. Students attend ballet lessons every week.
(Very young dancers = 1 lesson p/w. Students from Primary Level (usually age 6) to Grade 5 = 2 lessons p/w. Vocational Level ballet students = min 3 lessons p/w.)

Our studio also offers private lessons for students who seek specialised individual coaching. (For example, to learn performance solos or perhaps prepare for a career in dance.)
